Account

How do I sign up?

Open Profylio on iOS or Android. You can sign up with Apple, Google, or email. You must be 18 or older.

I forgot my password

If you signed up with email, tap "Forgot Password" on the login screen and follow the instructions. If you signed up with Apple or Google, sign in using the same provider — there is no separate password.

How do I change my username?

Go to Me → Edit Profile. Username changes are limited to once every 30 days.

How do I delete my account?

See our Account Deletion page. You can delete from inside the app or by emailing us.

Scanning

How does the AI score my face?

Profylio analyzes facial harmony patterns using OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini Vision model and returns a numeric score (0–10) and a tier classification. Scores are for entertainment only — see our AI disclaimer.

Why did my score change between scans?

Lighting, angle, expression, hair, and image quality all affect the score. For consistent results, use neutral lighting, a straight-on angle, and a relaxed expression.

How many scans can I do?

Free users get 3 scans per week. Profylio Pro members get unlimited scans.

Are my scan photos private?

Yes. Photos are encrypted in transit and at rest. They are sent to OpenAI for analysis (deleted from OpenAI within 30 days per their policy) and stored on our servers (Supabase) only as long as you choose to keep them. You can delete any scan from the app at any time.

How do I get a refund?

All refunds are handled by Apple or Google. We cannot issue refunds directly. For Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google: open the Play Store → My Subscriptions → Profylio → Refund.

Reporting & Safety

How do I report a user or post?

Tap the menu on any profile, post, or message and select Report. We review every report within 24 hours.

How do I block someone?

Open the user's profile, tap , and select Block. You will no longer see their content and they cannot message you.

I'm being harassed. What do I do?

Block the user immediately, then report them with the reason "Harassment". For severe cases involving threats, illegal content, or imminent danger, contact your local authorities first, then email us at profylio.app@gmail.com.

Technical Issues

The app is crashing

  1. Make sure you have the latest version of Profylio.
  2. Restart your device.
  3. If it still crashes, email us with your device model, OS version, and what you were doing when it crashed.

My scan won't upload

Check your internet connection. Profylio needs a stable connection for AI analysis. If the issue persists, try restarting the app.
